Dear Uncle & Aunt Jayasooriya,
I am a student of Master of Information Systems at Central Queensland University of Melborne. I Start my studies in 2008 and I was able to complete it less than two years. I chose to study in Melbourne with the help of ISES because the University of Central Queensland University has a great reputation internationally, and had the specific course I wanted to do.
I like the hands-on approach of the courses at CQU because it has taken my learning beyond theory.I have learnt to apply my knowledge through experiences like giving presentations, working in teams, and active involvement in our tutorials. I feel better prepared to get into the workforce because of it. I also like that our lecturers use real-life examples in their teaching and the fact that lectures are held twice at different times. The IT infra-structure is good and the IT staff are really helpful.
I love the environment here - the University is located in the centre of beautiful Melburne city and it has great places to relax, to have coffee and easy Transport etc. I've met so many nice people here. The experience I had in here has really changed my view about many things. My advice to prospective students is that, when you come to the Central Queensland University, don't be afraid to venture out and join clubs and societies. You will experience living amongst people from many nationalities and make lifelong friends. Coming here was the best decision I've made so far. Finally I thank to ISES for guiding me as well as my spouse and sister to be in this glamoured environment in Melbourne.

I was an Agriculture Higher National Diploma holder earlier and according to the guidance I received from ISES, I came here to persue my studies in Accountancy. At the begining although I had some difficulties with the kind and grate support I got from the staff at Homesglen I was able to obtain a honoure grades at my first semester exam.So I am very happy with my studies here now..
I was pleasantly surprised by the number of international students at Homesglen and I didn't worried about making friends. I consider this as asset as I learned a grate deal about other cultures which is an education itself. People of Melbourne are soo friendly and an outstanding quality of life. Thanks to the ISES dor directing me to this environment.
